"Mojalaki" means "the carrying place." The Merrimac River flows about 1200 feet from the southern border of our property, and to avoid the often dangerous current in this area, the Indians would take their canoes out of the water, carry them across the land and put them back into calmer waters farther down the river... hence, the reason for the name.

AFTER THE ROUND YOU'LL END UP IN THE MOJALAKI CLUBHOUSE, with two levels of outdoor decks, featuring the nostalgia of the 1920's. The first floor contains a small but well stocked Pro Shop. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, sandwiches and hot dogs are available. The second floor contains a spacious function room which boasts scenic views of the golf course and surrounding foothills. Complete with a dance floor, full bar, public address and sound system, the Mojalaki Banquet Hall is a great place to hold all types of functions such as weddings, reunions, business events and golf outing dinners.
